"I'm looking forward to being the first- hopefully of many- to assume the mantle of Dobunni Bard, the official poet-in-residence of the Dobunni Poetry Festival. I see the role as a sort of verse-spouting human bridge from High Art to High St, and so, over the Friday and Saturday, myself and my Art Pram will be popping up in various places around town, offering such things as free bespoke poems written just for you and thrashed out on an old typewriter, drop-in zine-making workshops and a lively open mic space in the Yard Gallery. I'll be writing the odd crowd-sourced poem, too, and also generally pointing people in the direction of Dobunni events where their hearts and heads can be filled with wonder and /or blown apart. Come and say hello. It'll be fun."
