TERMS & CONDITIONS

The Dobunni Poetry Festival is a partnership between Dialect Writers CIC and the Gloucestershire Poetry Society, and is supported by the Stroud Arts Festival.

The festival is run on a not-for-profit basis. All funds raised are held by Dialect Writers CIC and are used to plan and run the festival, hire venues and equipment, cover running and marketing costs, and pay poets, panellists and the festival team. The festival pays fair rates to the people involved: organisers/coordinators, writers/performers, facilitators, hosts, speakers, supporting the role of the arts and humanities in the gig economy, which is a vital part of our local community culture.

Tickets for our events can be purchased on this website and are capped to cover each event’s capacity. Payments are handled by Squarespace and processed by the payment provider selected during the checkout process.

When purchasing a ticket, your details are collected by Squarespace (name, contact information and payment details) and stored on their secure servers. You will also be able to create an account to manage your purchases. Your payment details will be used by the payment processor in order to process your purchase and will be held by them as a record of your purchase. The festival team have no access to your payment details. The team can access your name, contact details and address, which are held in the website’s management area. While we cannot access your payment details, we can process refunds. You can cancel your account at any time when logged into your account, or you can contact us to request this.

Ticket Refund Policy

If a ticket is purchased in error, please contact us as soon as possible to request a refund, notifying us within 7 days. If you are unable to attend an event due to illness, injury or other unforeseen event, please contact us to let us know. The festival team will assess this and decide whether we can refund your ticket. This is done on an individual discretionary basis. As tickets go toward the festival’s running costs, we may not be able to provide a refund. However, please contact us to explain the situation.
